IN SHORT

Planable is a collaboration and social media management platform from Planable Inc., built for planning and approving content together. It suits agencies and marketing teams where many people have a say; if you need data in the EU, the processor list offers no evidence for it. According to the pricing page, plans cost from USD 33 per workspace and month with annual payment, with unlimited users (as of October 2026).

You are looking for a tool in which clients or managers approve posts before they go live and have come across Planable. Here we set out what is documented on Planable’s pricing page and help centre, as of October 2026. There is no hands-on test.

What is Planable?

Planable is a platform in which teams create, comment on, approve and publish social media posts and other content together. According to the data processing agreement, the contractual partner is Planable Inc., with an address in Lewes, Delaware (USA). According to the about page, Planable grew out of a hackathon in Transylvania in 2016.

What is special about the model: Planable bills per workspace, and according to the pricing page each workspace has unlimited users. A workspace typically stands for a client, a brand or a location. Analytics, social inbox and social listening are add-ons in Basic and Pro that cost extra. According to the help centre, there are apps for iOS and Android for use on the move, and according to the pricing page a public API is available from Pro.

What can Planable do?

According to the pricing page, Planable focuses on planning and approval; analytics and community management come via add-ons.

AreaWhat the vendor says is includedAvailability
Planningfeed and calendar view; CSV import up to 400 rowsviews in all plans, import per help centre
AIposts from prompts, rewriting, hashtags, captions from image or videoper help centre
Approvalsnone, optional, mandatory; multi-levelmandatory approval from Pro, multi-level Enterprise
RolesGuest, Writer, Contributor, Approver, Administrator, Ownerper help centre
Social inboxcomments for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok; DMs only Facebook and Instagramadd-on
Analyticsreports as PDF or CSV, up to 5 competitor profiles, AI visibility blockadd-on
Social listening1 brand keyword, 3 topics, 3 competitors, maximum 30 daysadd-on

According to the pricing page, “Universal Content” also lets you plan and approve content outside social media, such as newsletters, blog posts or ads. According to the pricing page, you can connect Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile and Threads; Bluesky is missing from the list.

According to the help centre, besides the big networks the listening add-on also searches Reddit and websites such as news sites, blogs and forums. The data syncs every 24 hours; according to the vendor, this is explicitly not a live stream.

Who is Planable for, and who is it not for?

Planable suits agencies and marketing teams where approvals are the bottleneck. Because users per workspace cost nothing extra, you can bring in clients, specialist departments or management without a licence bill. The graded approvals and the area for newsletters and blog posts suit teams that coordinate more than social media.

Planable is a weaker fit if you publish large volumes: according to the pricing page, Basic allows 60 posts and 4 social pages, and Pro 150 posts and 10 social pages per workspace and month. If you want to do serious monitoring, you will also hit limits, because listening covers a maximum of 30 days and only updates daily. For organisations required to keep data in the EU, the evidence is missing.

How much does Planable cost?

Planable bills per workspace and month, according to the pricing page in US dollars and excluding taxes. As of October 2026, Planable prices are USD 33 for Basic and USD 49 for Pro with annual payment; monthly, it is USD 39 and USD 59. Enterprise is available on request and includes analytics and social inbox.

According to the pricing page, you can start for free with 50 posts in total, with no time limit and no credit card; X publishing is not included in the free allowance. The add-ons cost extra per workspace: analytics USD 14, social inbox USD 9 and social listening USD 99 per month. In paid plans, you can test each add-on free of charge for 30 days. All plans are in the price table.

Data protection and DACH: data, DPA and language

On the evidence, Planable’s data is in the USA: the processor list gives “United States of America” as the location for the hosting providers, including AWS, DigitalOcean and MongoDB. EU data storage is not documented. Planable provides a data processing agreement publicly.

We could not document security certifications such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2; according to our research, Planable’s security page only shows an image. We did not find a German interface or German-language support either; the help centre is in English. That does not mean neither exists, but you should clarify it before buying.

Our assessment

By our methodology, Planable is an approval tool with publishing attached, and in that role the model makes sense. Unlimited users per workspace and the three approval types solve exactly the problem that holds up coordination in agencies.

For the DACH region, there are two clear objections. According to the processor list, the data is in the USA, and a German interface is not documented. Also factor in the add-ons: if you need analytics and inbox, you pay extra per workspace in Basic and Pro. If you are looking for reviews from other users: according to the search index, Planable stands at 4.6 out of 5 points from 955 reviews on G2, and on OMR Reviews there is only 1 review so far (as of October 2026). Planable is worthwhile above all for teams for whom coordination matters more than community management. We explain how we rate and who is behind this site under methodology and disclosure.

How the score is calculated

The score is not a hands-on test verdict. It counts which checkpoints of methodology v1.4 are documented with a source for Planable. “Not documented” means we found no evidence, not necessarily that the feature is missing. Read the methodology
