IN SHORT

Publer is a social media management tool from Kalemi Code in Tirana (Albania) for planning, publishing and analysing posts. It suits freelancers, small teams and agencies that mainly plan and post. According to the pricing page, there is a free plan; according to the German pricing page, paid plans start from €3.58 per month and account with annual payment (as of October 2026). An inbox for comments and direct messages is not part of the documented scope.

Do you want to schedule posts for many networks and pay only for the accounts you actually use? According to the pricing page, Publer bills per social account and team member, and according to the privacy policy it hosts in Frankfurt. An inbox for messages and social listening are missing from the feature comparison. All information comes from vendor sources, as of 13.10.2026.

What is Publer?

Publer is social media planning and analytics software that plans, publishes and analyses posts across more than a dozen networks. According to the terms of use, the vendor is Kalemi Code, based in Tirana, Albania, or Kalemi Code LLC in Sheridan, Wyoming (USA). According to the about page, Publer began as a side project in 2012; a formal founding year of the company is not documented. The pricing model depends on the number of social accounts and team members.

According to the pricing page, Publer connects Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Threads and Bluesky, plus Mastodon, Telegram and WordPress. According to the pricing page, X can only be used in paid plans.

What can Publer do?

According to the pricing page and help centre, Publer mainly covers planning and analytics; community management and listening are not part of the documented scope.

AreaWhat is documentedFrom which plan

Analyticsanalytics and reports, automated PDF reports weekly or monthly by email, competitor analysis for up to 10 competitors per accountfrom Business

According to the help centre, there is no central inbox. You manage comments per published post in the calendar, and only with the admin role. Direct messages, assignment to team members, employee advocacy and social listening are not in the feature comparison on the pricing page.

According to the help centre, competitor analysis on Instagram only works for business and creator accounts. According to the help centre, the API and an MCP server for AI assistants are only open to eligible Business and Enterprise customers. According to the help centre, there are apps for iOS and Android. The pricing page lists integrations including Canva, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Unsplash, Zapier, Bitly, VistaCreate, Rebrandly and OpenAI. Ad management and SSO are not documented in our data.

Who is Publer for, and who is it not for?

Publer suits freelancers, creators and small teams that want to schedule posts for many networks and pay only for accounts they actually use. Relevant for agencies: paid plans include unlimited workspaces, and according to the pricing page every 10th account and every 10th member is free.

Publer is a weaker fit if your team has to answer comments and direct messages together in one inbox. That feature is not documented, and social listening is also missing from the feature comparison. If you need analytics and competitor comparison, you cannot avoid the Business plan. If you want to post on X, you need at least Professional, because the free plan excludes X. For corporations, evidence on SSO is missing; according to the privacy policy, the ISO certification applies to the parent company.

How much does Publer cost?

According to the German pricing page, Publer costs €3.58 per social account and month for Professional and €7.16 for Business with annual payment, or €4.48 and €8.95 monthly, each with one user, as of October 2026. The price rises with every additional account and every additional member. Publer prices are net, with VAT added. Enterprise is available on request.

The figures fit together: the “from USD 5 or 10” in the help centre is the monthly price in US dollars, while the German pricing page shows euros. Per additional member, the price calculator data names USD 2 or 3. For annual payment, the pricing page says “2 months free”, the help centre a 20 % discount. The price calculator shows the final price for your number of accounts. According to the help centre, you can test Professional for 7 days and Business for 14 days, plus a 14-day money-back guarantee.

How does it handle data protection and DACH suitability?

According to the privacy policy, Publer hosts on servers in Frankfurt, Germany. The same privacy policy is our source for the available data processing agreement and for the ISO/IEC 27001 certification, which applies to the parent company Kalemi Code. We do not give a legal assessment.

According to the help centre, the interface is available in German, among others, alongside English, French, Italian, Albanian and Spanish. German-language support is not documented in our data; support runs via live chat, email and social media. According to the help centre, support is available around the clock Monday to Friday, with limited availability at weekends and on public holidays.

Our assessment

Based on the documented facts, Publer is a planning tool with broad network coverage, EU hosting and a pricing model that starts cheaply with few accounts. For freelancers and small teams that mainly plan and post, we consider Publer a suitable option. On the plus side, the free plan and trial periods allow you to get started at no cost.

We take a critical view of the gaps in community management: without an inbox and without documented direct messages, you need a second tool for customer dialogue. Analytics, competitor analysis and API only come with the Business plan, and the price information contradicts itself between help centre and price calculator. How we weigh the facts is set out in the methodology.

How the score is calculated

The score is not a hands-on test verdict. It counts which checkpoints of methodology v1.4 are documented with a source for Publer. “Not documented” means we found no evidence, not necessarily that the feature is missing. Read the methodology
